| LIES: The only transparent thing in Obama White House is the TelePrompter |
In this video clip from a 2008 campaign speech, then Senator Obama blatantly lied about his father, claiming that he was a World War II veteran. This isn't the first time the president has lied outright about a family matter with little notice by his adoring propaganda machine of a press.
You may recall that Barack Obama famously lied about how he met Michelle Obama in a speech to graduating economists in Russia. He claimed that he met Michelle in class at Harvard. The only problem is that she graduated in the spring of 1988 and he began attending Harvard that fall. They actually met when working for the same law firm in Chicago during the summer of 1989. It had nothing to do with Harvard. They were both working for the Sidley Austin law firm in Chicago (where unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers' lovely co-terrorist wife Bernadine Dohrn also worked.) And yet, here is that poster child of intelligence and honesty outright lying about how he met his wife:
At the time, some folks blamed the TelePrompter for tricking Mr. Obama into spinning tall tales about his first meeting with the future American food czar. Some other willing accomplices in the media blamed it on "jet lag." (This ridiculous excuse was offered on CNN's Situation Room that evening as well.)
The speech where Obama lies about his father is apparently from 2008. It's probably been available for viewing for some time, but as I finally stumbled upon it today thanks to a friend on Facebook, I felt it warranted comment. In this brief clip, Mr. Obama claims that his father, Barack Hussein Obama Sr, served in WWII and that when he returned home "he got the services that he needed." Obama uses this false anecdote to assure veterans that he will take their care and concerns seriously:
It should be noted that Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was born in 1936. As World War II ended in 1945. This would mean that the little Muslim Kenyan socialist would have valiantly served in America's armed forces prior to his 9th birthday. It's unclear what "services" he would have needed after his harrowing ordeal. Perhaps cookies and milk? It's also unclear as to how he was able to enlist and receive veteran services from the American armed forces all the way in Kenya. There is no documented confirmation that an office of Veteran's Affairs was open in Kenya in 1945.
How can the mainstream media cover up this ridiculous and outright lies by this president? When a man is willing to lie about silly things like how he met his wife and whether is pre-teen socialist Kenyan father was serving with American armed forces in World War II, how can he be trusted to have the honesty to handle major issues? And will the country trust a man who lies about such trivial nonsense to control their healthcare decisions and to protect our Constitutional liberties?
